MobiSwitch Mobile Theme Switcher

MobiSwitch

As of right now my latest wordpress plugin has been uploaded to the wordpress svn and is available for download.

MobiSwitch is a mobile theme switcher plugin was created to give users a simple way of switching between themes for users on mobile devices.

It has a simple administration area where you can select what theme you would like to use for the mobile user and whether you would like to display a link to the desktop site in the footer of the wordpress website.

It is a very simple yet powerful way for you to change your wordpress theme dependant on what device the user is viewing your web site with.

Here is a quick screenshot of the administration area:

If you require any help getting the plugin set up or would like a mobile site creating for your wordpress page have a look at our mobile optimisation or contact us.

As always any questions or comments are always welcome below.

Installed this plugin; Our main desktop theme is swagger; I modified theme twenty-eleven to be the mobile theme we will use. I set plugin settings to use said mobile theme. I activate our swagger/pc theme to be our default. when I use my mobile device/smartphone/android os.. twenty-eleven is displayed as advertized..however it is the twenty-eleven before all my mods… all my modifications(no image, sidebar text, etc.) to twenty-eleven are not there. When I activate twenty-eleven, then go to my mobile device, all is wonderful with my modified twenty-eleven theme..but all pc users see this mobile theme, not the swagger. I’ve tried many switchers, but they all act the same, display correct mobile theme, but sans my changes when my desktop/pc theme is activated. what can be done to correct this? Thanks Doug.

      Hi Doug,

That’s very strange that this is happening – especially that it’s happening with more than one switcher you’ve tried.

Are you able to send me an email with your website address and your username and password so I can login and investigate this further for you to see if I may be able to find out what is causing the issue?

I look forward to hearing from you.

      Many thanks
      Jo
